“Science Museums are contributing greatly to filling the gap in science education. The science museum fills the lack of science education in the classroom. Today, the science museum has become a unique meeting place for teachers and students. Not only students but also teachers are getting endless opportunities to gain knowledge from here. Here the achievement is more than expected. Students find answers to questions they cannot find in the classroom but in the science museum. Young scientists are quenching their thirst for knowledge through science museums. If teachers and parents visit science museums again and again instead of running to coaching centers, then science education will become much easier. Here, the students get rid of the tiredness of reading books and the difficult part of science becomes easy. Speakers expressed these opinions at a meeting organized with stakeholders on quality improvement of museum services at the National Museum of Science and Technology on Tuesday. Most of the participants in this event were teachers and students of various educational institutions. Besides, officials of various government institutions also participated in the event. Speaking at the event, Director General of National Science and Technology Museum, Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said, "If the students visiting the museum play the role of ambassadors of this institution, science education will further advance." The authorities are making continuous efforts to improve the service quality of this institution. The environment of the museum premises is well-decorated and clean and modernized to create a visitor-friendly environment. Not only the science museum, the science museum is spreading the science movement throughout the country through science lectures, science fairs, science olympiads, seminars and quiz competitions in 64 districts and 496 Upazilas. It has an impact on the society, the state and the entire education system. In this case, teachers and visitors should come forward and play the role of collaborators in the development of the institution.
